Valentin N. Shevchuk, Ph.D., is a linguist, expert in theory and practice of translation and interpreting, translator trainer.

He currently works as a Professor of Linguistics at the English Department of the Military University and is a member of the Dissertation Committee, an honored scientist of the Russian Federation, and editorial board member of Perspectives: Studies in Translatology.
